hi there.

My name is Marisa. I love Jesus and I am daily learning what it means to surrender to him and bring glory to him. I am thankful for the gifts and opportunities he has given to me. I am a freelance photographer working currently with photogenx traveling around the world capturing stories, photographing injustice and attempting to inspire people through my work. I love photojournalism but I also have a passion for fine art photography. My goal is to bridge the gap between the two and include both into my photographs. I believe a picture can feel empty without a moment or human interaction but I also love the simplicity in found objects. On this blog I will post my client work as well as a few snapshots from my travels. You can read more about where I am going and where I’ve been (here) .
