A few weeks ago Eric and I and some cafe co-workers road-tripped up to Brooklyn for the day. We did a mini “coffee crawl” checking out some cafes and roasters in the area. SSooo many great little nooks and places to see! I can’t wait to go back. We drank SO much coffee haha. This trip I challenged my self by only taking a tilt shift lens.. one of which i’ve NEVER used before. yup you got it. brand new -yet borrowed- lens. I’ve been eyeing one of these up for a while now and was stoked for the opportunity to borrow and practice with one!! So below are my first ever tilt shift endeavors! enjoy ;)

Meet Marlin, Trinity, and JUDE! One of my favorite little families :) :) And don’t they all have such epic names?!! I think Jude Ramsey King beats all. This little munchkin is quite the ham, and although tired, managed to smile for a few ;) We shot these back before Christmas and in the business of the holiday I forgot to post a few on the blog. So here they are! The Kings.
Total side note.. Trinity makes a mean sweet potatoe veggie burger mmhhhhhhmmm annddd some amazing chocolate gluten free muffins - you can’t even taste the difference! Let me know if you want her recipe!

Sensory Experience: Gesha Varietal Paring
A few of us baristas from Prince Street Cafe took a little field trip down for the evening. It was an exquisit night filled with the tasting of two Gesha’s- same bean but processed differently- two cheese, two chocolates, and two wines!! yummm yumm yumm ;) Thank you to Ceremony for hosting such a fun intimate night!

It’s finally finished!! These two tied the knot on June 10th. I’ve been waiting to post this wedding for two months now haha. With over 100 gb of photos it took quite some time to sift through! ..yeah we many have went a bit photo crazy.. And with so many great moments and images it’s hard to narrow down a blog ;) I had the amazing Sarah Wallensteen assisting me with this wedding. We both have spent the last 18 months together along with dawn (the bride) as part of a team of photojournalists. We’ve been to multiple nations together, went through intense times as we worked with many different global injustice issues, and encountered God in the immense amounts of beauty and breakdown around the world. I’ve been privileged to have Dawn has my “older sister” and wise teammate all along the way ;) It was such an honor to be flown in to capture this day. I’ve seen their love endure multiple months apart and one to many skype dates. God has a unique blessing on each of them and i’m stoked to see where it all leads! Congratulations Dawn and Will! After all the adventures we’ve been on, the biggest and best is yet to come!
